About the Estate/Region
This Organic Darjeeling comes from the well-known Estate of Sungma, located in the Rung Bong valley and its famous for growing high-quality tea.
The garden’s history began in 1863, founded by a British Planter, and it quickly became famous for its Chinese hybrid teas and its good climatic conditions. In 1934 an earthquake destroyed the original Sungma factory. The operations were switched to the Turzum Estate, where both gardens where merged, keeping the name of Sungma.
