A very aromatic medium leaf tea with a round and spicy bouquet. Lively and complex. The name Sikkim is derived from an ancient Sanskrit word meaning mountainous land and was coined by Nepalese settlers hundreds of years ago. The province, which spreads out below Mount Khanchendzonga in the Eastern Himalayas, is arguably one of the most beautiful tea growing regions of the world. Sikkim is home to thunderously flowing rivers dense forests and lush valleys. It is in amongst these valleys that the Nepalese introduced a system of terraced cultivation by cutting fields into the mountainsides like great giant steps. It is on these terraces that you will find Temi tea estate, considered by many to be the pride of the Sikkim area. Temi Estate was first planted in 1969.
Please note: In order to become more environmentally-friendly we no longer add large coloured labels to our tea packets. Simply peel off the small name label from the back of your packet to make it totally biodegradable! Gift tubes are as shown.
