Assam Decaffeinated TGFOP1

The base for this decaffeinated loose leaf Assam tea was blended at source especially for us. Due to the very careful decaffeination procedure we ensure that the dark brown, well-worked leaf with golden tips lose none of their flavour and scent. The resulting cup is strong and malty with a hint of chocolate. The perfect decaf Assam! Great for an evening cuppa.

The Decaffeinating Process

The loose leaves are moistened with water and placed under gentle pressure.

They are then heated and CO2 is passed through the tea leaves. The CO2 bonds with the caffeine molecules.

The decaffeinated leaves are then dried and packed leaving the leaves intact.
