An aromatic blend of first and second Flush tea grown and blended at the highest elevation estate in Darjeeling. Notes of muscatel and light, fruity peach. While Happy Valley now produces some of Darjeeling's most stunning teas things haven't always been happy-go-lucky on the estate. In fact, for a period of time in the early part of the new millennium, it looked as though the estate (which has been in operation since 1854) would cease production. Factory equipment was falling apart, bush maintenance had fallen by the wayside and labour disputes threatened to shut the entire site. The future of Happy Valley looked grim. Luckily the current owners of the Estate (purchased in the early 2000s) recognised the potential of Happy Valley and have done an incredible job turning the place around. In terms of tea producing, pedigree Happy Valley has virtually no peer. Located just outside the town of Darjeeling the 437-acre estate sits in the mist-shrouded heights of the Himalayas no fewer than 6800 ft above sea level.

Happy Valley have come a long way since they reinvented themselves. This is a high quality blend at a bargain price
Excellent product
I prefer 1st flush Dargeeling but as this is as near as I could get I find it quite OK but will be happier when the pickers are able to recommence and pure 1st flush becomes available again. Good tea nevertheless.
We always enjoy a cup of Darjeeling tea every morning, it sets us up for the day.
It’s very flavoursome but you do have to brew (soak) it for much longer (upto 5 min minimum) and there is not much left in the tea for a second soaking. It is very light in colour as well which was to be expected as it’s a delicate tea . I loved it but would try another next time.
