The broken leaves of Darjeeling and Assam accompany late breakfast over weekend with friends. Darjeeling & Assam teablend has the rich malty taste of Assam and the subtle Darjeeling flavour making for perfect partners. Tea from each of the two great tea producing regions of India.Blending the two Indian teas brings out the best in both of them Assam's strength is softened and mellowed by Darjeeling's. The subtle flavours and aromas of Darjeeling seem to be enhanced rather than overpowered by the Assam.The result is a blend of spectacular depth of character.The tea leaves used in this blend have good sized leaves with a good proportion of golden tips. Many English Breakfast blends have beenin the past used Assam and Darjeeling in various proportions.The tea is refreshing warming comforting invigorating and issuitable as a morning drink as it is for sipping during a moment of relaxation during a busy afternoon.

Flowery consists of large leaves, typically plucked in the second or third flush with an abundance of tips. Golden flowery includes very young tips or buds (usually golden in colour) that were picked early in the season. Primarily from Indonesia; similar to OP.

Flowery Orange Pekoe
High-quality tea with a long leaf and few tips, considered the second grade in Assam, Dooars, and Bangladesh teas, but the first grade in China.

Limited to only the highest quality leaves in the FOP classification.
GFOP
Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe
Higher proportion of tip than FOP. Top grade in the Milima and Marinyn regions, but uncommon in Assam and Darjeeling.

Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe
The highest proportion of tip, and the main grade in Darjeeling and Assam.
