Our Assam Tea Sample Box brings together ten distinctive loose leaf Assam black teas in individual 15g packs, creating a generous tasting journey through bold breakfast teas, organic estate selections, second flush specialities and one rare smoked Assam. With 150g of tea in total, it is an ideal way to explore the rich, malty world of Assam or to give as a thoughtful gift to anyone who enjoys a proper full-bodied brew.

Assam Tea Sample Box with 10 Loose Leaf Black Teas

This Assam Tea Sample Box contains ten carefully chosen teas from one of the world’s most celebrated black tea regions. Assam tea sampler sets are commonly designed to help customers compare estate styles before committing to larger packs, and this collection offers a particularly strong range, spanning everyday OP1 leaf, organic GBOP, prized second flush TGFOP and FTGFOP1 teas, plus the remarkable Fu Soonga smoked tea from Hatibudi.

It is a box built for genuine tasting: not ten similar breakfast teas, but ten different expressions of Assam’s depth, malt, strength and estate character.

Ten Assam Teas to Explore

The collection includes:

  1. Honest Everyday Assam OP1 Breakfast Tea
  2. Assam Bio GBOP Hathikuli Estate
  3. Assam 2nd Flush Hunwal Estate TGFOP1
  4. Assam 2nd Flush Harmutty TGFOP1
  5. Assam 2nd Flush Behora Estate TGFOP
  6. Assam 2nd Flush Mangalam Estate FTGFOP1
  7. Assam 2nd Flush Bukhial Estate TGFOP
  8. Assam Hatibudi TGFOP “Fu Soonga” Smoky
  9. Assam 2nd Flush Gingia Estate GTOP
  10. Assam 2nd Flush Borengajuli Estate FBOP

Together, they show the breadth of Assam loose leaf black tea: strong and malty, brisk and spicy, smooth and golden-tipped, organic and estate-led, with one genuinely unusual smoky style to add contrast. Please note the contents may vary depending upon availability.

A Loose Leaf Assam Tea Tasting Box with Estate Depth

What makes this Assam Tea Sample Box especially appealing is the quality and specificity of the selection. Many sampler sets offer a smaller group of estate Assams, while this collection provides ten teas with a far wider spread of grades and cup styles.

The result is a more rewarding tasting experience for anyone who wants to compare:

  • everyday Assam against premium second flush leaf
  • broken grades against whole-leaf grades
  • organic Hathikuli against classic estate selections
  • traditional malty Assams against Hatibudi’s unusual smoky Fu Soonga tea

A Thoughtful Gift for Assam Tea Drinkers

This Assam Tea Sample Box is ideal for customers who love rich black tea and want to explore beyond a single everyday breakfast blend. It is also a very strong gift choice: generous, focused and genuinely useful, with enough tea in each pouch to brew several cups and compare the teas properly.

Comparable Assam sampler products are often positioned as discovery sets for estate black tea drinkers, and this larger ten-tea box goes further by offering a particularly broad view of Assam’s most rewarding styles.

How to Brew the Assam Tea Sample Box

Assam black teas generally suit freshly boiled water at 100°C and a generous teaspoon of leaf per cup, though the ideal steeping time varies by tea.

As a general guide:

  • Everyday Assam OP1 and the fuller estate black teas: brew for around 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Stronger broken-leaf or breakfast-style teas such as Borengajuli FBOP and Hathikuli GBOP: 4 to 5 minutes if taking milk.
  • Premium second flush whole-leaf teas such as Mangalam FTGFOP1, Hunwal TGFOP1 and Harmutty TGFOP1: 3 to 4 minutes to preserve smoothness while developing malt and depth.
  • Hatibudi “Fu Soonga” Smoky: around 3 to 4 minutes, preferably tried black first to appreciate its distinctive smoky character.

Most teas in the box take milk well, but brewing them black the first time is the best way to notice the differences between estates, grades and harvests.
