Our Ice wine tea is a luxurious loose leaf blend of black tea, white tea, currants, natural flavours and real Ontario ice wine. Bright, coppery and naturally sweet, it offers layered notes of pear, ripe berry and soft caramel, creating a fruit-forward cup that is indulgent without being heavy.

Ice Wine Tea with Black and White Loose Leaf Tea

Ice wine is one of the rarest and most prized dessert wines in the world. The grapes are left on the vine into winter and harvested only when temperatures are cold enough for them to freeze naturally. This concentrates the sugars, acids and aromatics, creating a wine of remarkable sweetness, depth and intensity.

This loose leaf tea takes inspiration from that celebrated flavour. A carefully selected base of black and white tea from Sri Lanka, Kenya, India and China is blended with currants, natural flavours and real Ontario ice wine. The result is a distinctive flavoured tea with richness, brightness and an elegant fruit character.

A Sweet, Fruity and Indulgent Blend

In the cup, Ice Wine Blend gives a bright coppery infusion with a warm glow and a naturally sweet aroma. Notes of pear, ripe berry and soft caramel come through beautifully, supported by the depth of the black tea and the lighter refinement of the white tea.

A small amount of sugar is highly recommended. It rounds the flavour, brings the pear and caramel notes forward, and helps the ice wine character become more expressive.

Delicious Hot or Iced

Served hot, this tea is warming, smooth and quietly indulgent, making it ideal for a winter afternoon or a more unusual after-dinner cup. It is also excellent served chilled.

When brewed over ice, the fruit character becomes cleaner and brighter, giving a crisp, refreshing tea with a naturally sweet finish. This makes it a particularly rewarding summer iced tea.

How to Brew Ice Wine Tea

Use freshly boiled water at 100°C. Add one heaped teaspoon per cup and steep for three to five minutes, depending on your preferred strength.

A shorter infusion keeps the fruit notes bright and crisp, while a longer infusion draws more depth from the black tea base and gives a fuller colour. For iced tea, brew slightly stronger than usual, allow to cool fully, then pour over ice.

This is a delicious refreshing tea which is not widely available in the UK. If you like a slightly fruity but not sweet tea, give this a go.

Best of them all.

For me it is the best tea. Specially with lemon and honey.
