Organic Ceylon Green Tea from Sri Lanka’s Uva Region
This Organic Ceylon green tea comes from the pioneering estate you currently list as Idalgashinna, in Sri Lanka’s Uva highlands. Comparable retailer descriptions highlight this tea as an unusually refined organic green Ceylon, known for its delicate yellow liquor, smooth cup and naturally sweet, fruity character.
It is a beautifully distinctive loose leaf tea for customers who enjoy green tea but prefer something less grassy and more softly rounded than many Japanese-style examples.
Smooth, Fruity and Naturally Sweet
In the cup, this Organic Ceylon green tea brews to a pale golden-green infusion with clear brightness and a gentle, inviting aroma. The flavour is smooth and softly sweet, with lychee-like fruitiness, hints of honey and stone fruit, and a clean finish that lingers without bitterness.
It is light without being thin, and refined without becoming overly delicate — a green tea with real drinking pleasure and a clear single-estate identity.
A Rare Organic Green Tea from Ceylon
Sri Lanka is best known for black tea, which makes an organic green tea from the Uva region especially unusual. Retailer descriptions of this tea emphasise its organic cultivation, fruity sweetness and elegant cup, supporting its positioning as a genuinely distinctive Ceylon green rather than a standard everyday green tea.

A Gentle Green Tea for Any Time of Day
This tea is well suited to quiet morning brewing, a lighter afternoon cup or a calm evening option when you want something refined and moderate in character. Its smoothness makes it especially approachable for those who have previously found green tea too grassy or sharp.
Drink it plain to appreciate the fruitiness and clean high-grown finish.
How to Brew Organic Ceylon Green Tea
Use water at around 75°C to 80°C and add one level teaspoon per cup. Steep for 2 to 3 minutes.
A 2-minute brew keeps the cup especially light and sweet. A 3-minute infusion develops a little more body while preserving the tea’s smooth, fruity elegance.
A second infusion is worth trying immediately after the first, producing a softer, lighter cup.

The Indulgashina loose leaf tea is full of flavour and aroma, subtle, golden in colour in the cup, and super-healthy being both organic and green. Many green teas I find unpalatable, but this one has a fantastic flavour profile.
Simply an outstanding tea. I don’t normally like green tea, but this one is delicious, nuanced, perfumed, and has a depth and body more associated with a black tea… exquisite - and highly reccommended.
