Yunnan Jade Dragon Green Tea with Elegant FOP Leaf
Jade Dragon is a distinctive green tea from Yunnan, a Chinese province more widely known for black tea and pu-erh, but also capable of producing refined and characterful green teas. Specialist retailers commonly present Jade Dragon as a Yunnan green tea with a tippy leaf style and a fresh, naturally sweet cup.
This FOP loose leaf selection is notable for its large, elegantly twisted green leaves and silvery tips, giving it visual presence before it even reaches the pot.
Smooth, Sweet and Refreshingly Clean
In the cup, this Yunnan Jade Dragon green tea brews to a bright, clear greenish liquor with a lively, uplifting appearance. The flavour is smooth and gently sweet, with a clean freshness that avoids the sharpness or bitterness that can put some drinkers off green tea.
It is an especially welcoming Chinese green tea for those who want a cup with character, but not excessive grassy intensity.
A Refined Introduction to Yunnan Green Tea
Similar Jade Dragon teas are often described as floral, grassy, sweet and softly vegetal when brewed carefully, making them a rewarding but approachable style of premium Chinese green tea.
This makes Jade Dragon Green an excellent choice for tea drinkers new to finer loose leaf green tea, as well as for those looking to explore a less familiar side of Yunnan’s tea tradition.

A Calm Green Tea for Everyday Drinking
Yunnan Jade Dragon Green Tea is well suited to thoughtful morning brewing or a quiet afternoon pause. Its naturally smooth character makes it easy to return to regularly, while the attractive leaf and clean cup give it enough distinction to feel more special than an everyday green tea.
It is best enjoyed plain, allowing the natural sweetness and freshness of the leaf to remain clear.
How to Brew Yunnan Jade Dragon Green Tea
Use water cooled after boiling to around 80°C and add one teaspoon of leaf per cup. Steep for 2 to 3 minutes.
A 2-minute infusion gives a lighter, cleaner cup. A 3-minute brew develops a little more body while preserving the tea’s smooth character.
The leaves can comfortably give a second infusion, which will be lighter and more delicate than the first. Similar Yunnan Jade Dragon teas are also commonly brewed at around 80–85°C to retain their fresh, sweet profile.

Purchased more Jade Dragon Green Tea again, a refreshing cup of green tea first thing in the morning. It is soft in texture, not too strong compared to the other green teas. Simply charming!
Great value, brews just how I like it, fresh and light first cup (out of my morning pot, then stronger more earthy second cup. Thank you
