Our Assam first flush loose leaf tea from Orangajuli Estate is a beautifully bright and refined spring-harvest black tea with floral aroma, gentle malt and a soft spiced finish. Lighter and more elegant than a typical Assam, this TGFOP single-estate tea brews to a clear amber cup with real freshness and poise — ideal for those who enjoy Assam character in a more delicate, expressive style.
Assam First Flush Loose Leaf Tea from Orangajuli Estate
Orangajuli is one of Assam’s most distinctive tea gardens, established in 1894 near the Bhutan border. This single-estate first flush offers a very different expression of Assam from the region’s famously bold second flush teas.
Harvested in early spring, the leaf captures the freshness of the season. The cup is brighter, lighter and more aromatic, while still retaining the gentle malty foundation that gives Assam its unmistakable identity.
TGFOP Grade with a Bright Spring Character
This tea is graded TGFOP, or Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe, indicating a carefully made orthodox leaf with attractive tips and a refined finish.
The first flush timing gives Orangajuli TGFOP its particular charm. Rather than weight and power, it brings clarity, floral lift and a lively freshness that makes it especially rewarding for mid-morning or afternoon drinking.
Floral, Fresh and Gently Malty
In the cup, this Assam first flush loose leaf tea brews to a clear, luminous amber liquor. The aroma is lightly floral and immediately inviting.
The flavour is fresh and full without becoming heavy. A flowery bouquet leads, followed by a soft malty underpinning and a clean, gently spiced finish that lingers pleasantly.

Best Enjoyed Without Milk
Orangajuli First Flush is well worth drinking black, as this allows the floral freshness and spring-like clarity to come through most fully.
A small spoonful of honey or a thin slice of lemon also works beautifully if you prefer a softer or brighter edge to the cup. Milk is not essential here, and the tea is most expressive without it.
How to Brew Assam Orangajuli TGFOP
Use freshly boiled water allowed to rest briefly, ideally around 95°C. Add one level teaspoon per cup and steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
A three-minute brew keeps the tea especially lifted and floral. A little longer gives more body while preserving its refined first flush character.
Ingredients
Black tea from Assam, India.

One of my favourites
Excellent and prompt service as usual!
I've bought it twice so what else need you know? I am a 'returning' customer and have bought from you several times. No amount of words or can be more significant than that. Box on.
Really like this tea. Not as rounded or subtle as Harmutty or Mangalam but still well balanced and delicious. Has become my morning staple.
Хорошие чаи,ароматные,без посторонних привкусов.Эти сорта можно купить и в России по значительно более низкой цене.Другую пару чаёв ещё не пробовал.
