Assam Second Flush Loose Leaf Tea from Behora Estate
Behora Estate lies in Assam’s Golaghat district, one of the region’s most respected tea-growing areas. This single-estate TGFOP second flush is built for drinkers who want a proper, full-bodied Assam with genuine depth and dependable morning strength.
The June harvest captures the leaf at its most mature and characterful, producing a tea that is robust, brisk and generously malty in the cup.
Rich Malt, Coppery Liquor and Golden-Tipped Depth
In the cup, this Assam second flush loose leaf tea pours a deep coppery red with excellent clarity. The flavour is bold and rounded, led by classic Assam malt and supported by a satisfying natural briskness.
The golden tips within the TGFOP leaf add a subtle sweetness, softening the overall strength just enough to keep the cup balanced and highly drinkable.
TGFOP Grade for a Strong, Refined Assam
The TGFOP grade, or Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe, denotes a well-made orthodox leaf with a good proportion of fine tips from the youngest shoots.
That gives Behora Estate a more polished quality than a standard everyday Assam, while still delivering the body and impact expected from a serious breakfast black tea.

A Superb Breakfast Tea with Milk
Behora TGFOP is especially rewarding with milk. A good splash rounds the malt, softens the briskness and creates a warm, satisfying cup that feels made for the breakfast table.
Taken black, the tea remains bold and direct, with its coppery brightness and golden-tipped structure showing more clearly. It is an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys Assam with real substance.
How to Brew Behora Estate TGFOP Assam
Use freshly boiled water at 100°C and add one generous teaspoon per cup. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes for a bright, lively result.
For greater depth and strength, extend to around 5 minutes. Avoid pushing much further, as the natural briskness of a second flush Assam can become overly astringent.
If you enjoy a very strong cup, use slightly more leaf rather than extending the steeping time too far.
