Assam Second Flush Loose Leaf Tea from Mokalbari East Estate
Mokalbari East is a highly regarded Assam estate in the Dibrugarh district of the upper Brahmaputra valley, a region celebrated for producing some of India’s most satisfying black teas.
This is a second flush FTGFOP1 tea, made from carefully selected orthodox leaf with visible golden tips. It represents the richer, fuller side of Assam and delivers exactly the depth and confidence many black tea drinkers look for.
Rich, Malty and Full of Assam Character
In the cup, Mokalbari East brews to a deep burnished amber liquor with impressive body and a smooth, satisfying finish. The flavour is richly malty, with a natural warmth and gentle underlying spice that give the tea real presence.
It is bold without being coarse, strong without becoming harsh, and refined enough to enjoy slowly despite its power.
Golden-Tipped FTGFOP1 Second Flush Leaf
The dry leaf is wiry, well-twisted and scattered with pale golden tips, signalling careful selection and a premium orthodox style. The second flush harvest brings greater richness and depth than lighter spring teas, making this a particularly rewarding Assam for those who prefer a fuller cup.
Mokalbari East FTGFOP1 is a strong choice for anyone seeking a classic single-estate Assam with both pedigree and everyday drinkability.

Taken black, this Assam second flush loose leaf tea shows its clean malt, natural warmth and satisfying structure most clearly. It is a fine choice for tea drinkers who enjoy a strong but well-made cup.
With milk, it becomes rounder and more comforting, making it especially well suited to breakfast. A little sugar can also be added if you prefer a more traditional strong Assam serve.
How to Brew Assam Mokalbari East FTGFOP1
Use freshly boiled water at 100°C and add one heaped teaspoon per cup. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes for a bold, full-flavoured infusion.
For a stronger cup, extend the brew to around 5 minutes. If adding milk, brew first and pour afterwards so you can appreciate the liquor before softening it.
