How to Brew the Assam Tea Mini Sample Box
As a general guide, use freshly boiled water and one heaped teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup. Steep for around 3 to 5 minutes depending on the tea and your preferred strength.
The fuller second flush Assams, particularly Harmutty and Mangalam, can take a slightly longer infusion if you prefer a deeper, maltier cup. The smoked Hatibudi Fu Soonga is worth trying without milk first so its more distinctive character comes through clearly. Assam Decaffeinated can be brewed in much the same way as a regular Assam black tea.
Most of the teas in this box take milk well, though tasting each one black first is a good way to appreciate the differences between them.
