Our Dammann Freres L'Oriental is a beautifully fruity flavoured green loose leaf tea combining the vegetal freshness of green tea with aromatic notes of passion fruit, wild peach and wild strawberry. Fresh, velvety and gently tropical in character, it is a wonderfully uplifting cup served hot and equally elegant brewed chilled over ice.
Dammann Freres L'Oriental Flavoured Green Loose Leaf Tea
Dammann Freres L'Oriental is one of the French tea house’s signature flavoured green teas, created around a fresh green tea base and the bright fruit aromas of passion fruit, wild peach and wild strawberry. Dammann Freres describes the infusion as fresh and velvety, a phrase that captures the tea particularly well: lively in fragrance, smooth in the cup and unmistakably fruit-led without losing the green tea beneath.
Passion Fruit, Wild Peach and Wild Strawberry
In the cup, this Dammann Freres L'Oriental brews to a pale golden infusion with a vivid, inviting fruit fragrance. Passion fruit gives the blend its tropical lift, wild peach brings soft ripe sweetness, and wild strawberry adds a delicate berry note that rounds the finish beautifully.
The green tea base keeps the overall character fresh and gently vegetal, ensuring the blend feels refined rather than sugary or heavy.
A Distinctive Dammann Freres Fruity Green Tea
Retail descriptions of L'Oriental highlight the presence of pineapple pieces and cornflower petals within the leaf, adding visual appeal as well as further fruit-led charm to the blend. This makes it a particularly attractive loose leaf tea both in the pouch and once brewed.
It is an excellent choice for customers who enjoy flavoured green tea but want something more polished and layered than a simple fruit-scented everyday blend.

A Fruity Green Tea for Hot or Iced Brewing
Dammann Freres L'Oriental is lovely as a bright, aromatic daytime green tea, but it is also especially well suited to chilled preparation. Dammann Freres uses the blend in iced tea and mocktail inspiration, which reflects how successfully its fruit flavours carry into cold brewing.
How to Brew Dammann Freres L'Oriental
Use water at around 80°C to 90°C and infuse for 3 to 4 minutes, following Dammann Freres’ official brewing guidance.
A 3-minute infusion gives a lighter, fresher cup, while 4 minutes brings a little more fruit depth. For cold brewing, place the leaf in cold filtered water and leave in the fridge for several hours before straining and serving chilled.
Ingredients
Green tea, flavourings of passion fruit, wild peach and wild strawberry, pineapple pieces and flower petals.

Dammann Freres, Green L'Oriental - 100g
De-lic-ious! Flavours and scents amazing. I have an infuser and this tea is lovely hot or cold. The fruit flavours really come to the fore when the tea is chilled.
