Our Flavoured green tea from Dammann Frères is a refined French loose leaf blend with passion fruit, wild peach and wild strawberry aromas. Light, fragrant and naturally fruity, L'Oriental combines a fresh green tea base with real fruit pieces, flower petals and a smooth, velvety finish.

Dammann Frères L'Oriental - Flavoured Green Tea

L'Oriental is a celebrated loose leaf tea from Dammann Frères, one of the great names in French tea blending. Built on a base of quality green tea, it brings together the exotic aromas of passion fruit, wild peach and wild strawberry for a cup that feels bright, elegant and refreshing.

Fruit pieces and flower petals are woven throughout the leaf, giving the blend visual appeal as well as fragrance. In the cup, the infusion is pale gold, clear and inviting, with a soft fruit aroma that rises beautifully from the steam.

A French Green Tea with Tropical Fruit Character

This is a flavoured green tea with balance and restraint. The green tea base provides gentle vegetal freshness, while the fruit notes add sweetness, brightness and depth without becoming heavy or sugary.

Passion fruit brings a tropical lift, wild peach adds a soft honeyed note, and wild strawberry gives a delicate tartness. Together, they create a smooth, summery cup with a naturally sweet finish.

About Dammann Frères L'Oriental

Dammann Frères has been part of French tea culture for centuries, with origins often traced back to 1692, when the right to sell tea in France was granted under Louis XIV. The modern house was established in 1925 by brothers Robert and Pierre Dammann and became especially known for its skill in flavoured teas.

L'Oriental is one of the house’s most distinctive blends, showing the French style of flavouring tea with elegance, aroma and precision.

Delicious Hot or Cold Brewed

Served hot, L'Oriental makes a fragrant mid-morning or afternoon cup. It is light enough to enjoy on its own and can also be lightly sweetened with honey if preferred.

It is also excellent as a cold brew. The fruit aromas become especially refreshing when steeped slowly in cold water, making it a beautiful iced tea for warmer days.

How to Brew Dammann Frères L'Oriental

Use water heated to around 80°C. If you do not have a temperature-controlled kettle, allow freshly boiled water to rest for two to three minutes before pouring.

Use one heaped teaspoon per cup and steep for three to four minutes. Avoid boiling water or a very long steep, as this can draw bitterness from the green tea base and mask the delicate fruit aromas. This tea is best enjoyed without milk.

Ingredients

Green tea, fruit pieces including pineapple, natural flavourings of passion fruit, vine peach and wild strawberry, flower petals.
