Our Darjeeling Autumnal loose leaf black tea is a mellow GFOP blend from the final harvest of the Darjeeling season, offering a rich amber cup, gentle muscatel sweetness and a softly spiced, fruity finish. Deeper and more rounded than the brighter spring flushes, it is a calm, beautifully settled Himalayan tea best enjoyed without milk.
Darjeeling Autumnal Loose Leaf Black Tea with Mellow Seasonal Depth
Darjeeling Autumnal Blend GFOP is made from leaf harvested after the monsoon, when the growing season slows and the tea develops a warmer, more composed character. This final flush of the year offers something quite distinct from first and second flush Darjeeling: less briskness, more softness, and a rounded aromatic depth that feels perfectly suited to unhurried afternoon drinking.
The result is a tea with genuine seasonal personality — mellow, expressive and quietly elegant.
Rich Amber Liquor with Gentle Muscatel Sweetness
In the cup, this Darjeeling Autumnal loose leaf black tea brews to a rich, warming amber with clear brightness. The flavour is smooth and softly aromatic, with a gentle muscatel note, a mild touch of spice and a lingering fruity sweetness that remains polished rather than sharp.
It is fuller than a first flush and calmer than a more assertive second flush, occupying a beautifully balanced space of its own.
GFOP Autumnal Darjeeling with a Rounded, Relaxed Cup
The GFOP grade, Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe, gives the tea a well-formed leaf with a proportion of golden tip and a cup that feels carefully composed. The dry leaf shows the multicoloured appearance typical of autumnal Darjeeling, with darker, warmer tones reflecting the end-of-season harvest.
This is a blend chosen for its smoothness and quiet complexity rather than sheer intensity.

A Calm Darjeeling for Unhurried Afternoon Drinking
Darjeeling Autumnal Blend GFOP is especially well suited to quiet afternoon moments, when its mellow body and seasonal warmth can be appreciated slowly. It is best enjoyed plain, allowing the softer muscatel note and gentle spice to come through clearly.
A thin slice of lemon can be pleasant, but milk is best avoided if you want the subtleties of the autumn flush to remain fully visible.
How to Brew Darjeeling Autumnal Blend GFOP
Use water at around 90°C to 95°C and add one heaped teaspoon per cup. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
A 3-minute brew gives a lighter, more aromatic cup. A 4-minute infusion develops fuller body and a more rounded autumnal depth.
Serve without milk to preserve the tea’s soft spice and fruity finish. A second infusion is possible, producing a lighter and more delicate cup.
