Darjeeling Muscatel Loose Leaf Tea from Sungma Estate
Sungma Estate is one of Darjeeling’s most respected tea gardens, situated in the Rung Bong Valley and known for producing high-quality organic teas with impressive aromatic character.
This tea showcases the celebrated muscatel profile associated with premium Darjeeling: naturally fruity, gently sweet and reminiscent of ripe grapes, with a more rounded cup than lighter floral styles.
Rich, Fruity and Elegantly Complex
In the cup, Darjeeling Sungma Muscatel is full and aromatic, with a smooth infusion that balances fruit-led sweetness with the refined structure of high-grown black tea.
Expect classic muscatel notes, soft grape-like richness and a clean, composed finish that lingers pleasantly. It is a tea with enough depth to feel luxurious, yet enough finesse to remain beautifully drinkable.
Organic High-Grown Darjeeling with Distinctive Character
Cultivated at altitude in the Rung Bong Valley, Sungma teas are prized for their clarity, fragrance and complexity. The organic leaf brings together a rich aroma, elegant liquor and the kind of nuanced flavour that makes Darjeeling so rewarding.
This is a particularly appealing choice for those who enjoy refined black teas, but prefer a little more body and fruit depth than a delicate first flush style.

Best Enjoyed Without Milk
Darjeeling Sungma Muscatel is best taken on its own, allowing the grape-like fruit character and aromatic complexity to shine. A clear cup shows the tea at its most refined.
It is especially well suited to a slow mid-morning brew or a thoughtful afternoon tea when you want something polished, expressive and genuinely memorable.
How to Brew Darjeeling Sungma Muscatel
Use water cooled slightly after boiling, ideally around 90°C to 95°C. Add one heaped teaspoon per cup and steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
A shorter brew keeps the tea brighter and more lifted. A slightly longer infusion brings out fuller fruit depth and a richer muscatel character. Serve without milk for the clearest expression of the tea.
