Snow View Tea Garden sits at around 1,000 metres, between the mountains of Bhutan and the Himalayan plains. Established in 1870, the estate takes its name from the snow-capped Himalayan range that can be seen from the garden on a clear day.

The estate also lies on an elephant migration route, with herds travelling across the garden between forest areas and the river.
