Our Darjeeling Tea Sample Box brings together ten distinctive loose leaf Darjeeling teas in individual 15g packs, creating a generous tasting journey through first flush, second flush and estate-led organic selections from one of the world’s most celebrated tea regions. With 150g of tea in total, it is a rewarding way to compare the freshness of spring Darjeeling, the prized muscatel depth of summer harvests and the character of famous Himalayan estates.

Darjeeling Tea Sample Box with 10 Loose Leaf Teas

This Darjeeling Tea Sample Box contains ten carefully chosen loose leaf teas, each packed in a 15g pouch. Darjeeling tea samplers are commonly positioned as a way to explore the region’s range of flushes and estates before choosing larger packs, and this box offers a particularly strong selection, spanning celebrated gardens including Happy Valley, Margaret’s Hope, Castleton, Avongrove, Singell, Ambootia and Soom.

It is an ideal discovery box for customers who want to understand why Darjeeling is so highly prized, and for existing fans looking to compare favourites side by side.

Ten Darjeeling Teas to Explore

The collection includes:

  1. Darjeeling 1st/2nd Flush Blend Organic FTGFOP1, Happy Valley Estate
  2. Darjeeling 1st Flush Himalayan Blend
  3. Darjeeling 2nd Flush Margaret’s Hope TGFOP
  4. Darjeeling 2nd Flush Castleton TGFOP
  5. Darjeeling 2nd Flush Organic FTGFOP1, Avongrove Estate
  6. Darjeeling 2nd Flush Monteviot Estate Bio GBOP “Unscented Afternoon Selection”
  7. Darjeeling 2nd Flush Organic FTGFOP1, Singell Estate
  8. Darjeeling Ambootia Estate 1st Flush SFTGFOP1 Organic
  9. Darjeeling 2nd Flush Upper Namring TGFOP1
  10. Darjeeling Soom Estate 1st Flush Organic TGFOP1

Together, they offer a varied introduction to Darjeeling’s most admired seasonal styles: floral and lively first flush teas, fuller and more muscatel second flush teas, and estate expressions with distinct individual character.

A Loose Leaf Darjeeling Tasting Box with Estate Depth

What makes this Darjeeling Tea Sample Box especially appealing is the quality and breadth of the estates represented. Many Darjeeling sampler sets focus on a smaller number of teas or a broader assortment of styles, while this collection stays tightly focused on Darjeeling and gives customers a meaningful comparison across gardens, flushes and grades.

It is a box designed not just for variety, but for genuine tasting: a chance to compare Happy Valley against Castleton, Singell against Avongrove, and first flush brightness against second flush richness.

A Thoughtful Gift for Darjeeling Tea Drinkers

This Darjeeling Tea Sample Box is a strong choice for anyone who already enjoys Darjeeling and wants to explore more deeply, as well as for curious loose leaf drinkers looking for a refined introduction to the category. Tea sampler products are widely presented as discovery sets and gifts, and Darjeeling lends itself particularly well to that format because the differences between flushes and estates are so rewarding to taste side by side.

How to Brew the Darjeeling Tea Sample Box

Darjeeling teas reward a slightly gentler approach than stronger breakfast black teas. As a general guide, use water at around 90°C to 95°C and steep for 3 to 4 minutes, adjusting to the character of each tea.

  • First flush teas, such as Ambootia and Soom, usually benefit from the lighter end of the range to preserve their floral freshness.
  • Second flush teas, such as Margaret’s Hope, Castleton, Avongrove and Singell, can often take a slightly fuller brew to bring out their muscatel depth.
  • Darjeeling teas are usually best appreciated without milk, particularly when tasting through a selection like this for comparison.

For the most rewarding experience, brew each tea plain the first time and note the differences in liquor colour, aroma and finish.

Really enjoying the selection of teas to try from these upland tea gardens on the border of India Tibet abs Nepal which we visited in 2008. Different in character it’s hard to choose what to order in greater quantity!
