Dimbula Loose Leaf Black Tea from Kirkoswald Estate
Kirkoswald Estate lies in Sri Lanka’s celebrated Dimbula district, one of the island’s great high-grown tea regions. This single-estate Pekoe grade black tea captures the style beautifully: bright in the cup, brisk on the palate and satisfyingly full in flavour.
Dimbula teas are especially admired for their clean structure and lively finish, and Kirkoswald delivers that character with real confidence.
Bright, Brisk and Full-Bodied Ceylon Tea
In the cup, this Dimbula loose leaf black tea brews to a coppery-bright liquor with warm golden notes. The flavour is lively and refreshing, with good body and a polished finish that keeps the cup crisp rather than heavy.
It is a tea with plenty of presence, yet enough refinement to enjoy black as well as with milk.
Pekoe Grade Leaf with Classic High-Grown Character
The Pekoe grade uses shorter, slightly twisted whole leaf, producing a well-coloured brew with satisfying depth. Here, it gives Kirkoswald Estate a rich, flavoursome cup that feels especially well suited to breakfast.
The high-grown Dimbula style brings brightness and briskness, while the estate character adds warmth and balance.

A Standout Breakfast Tea
Kirkoswald Pekoe is an excellent choice for the breakfast table. Its briskness makes it feel lively and refreshing, while its full body gives it the strength to take milk beautifully.
Served black, it shows more of its bright, high-grown Ceylon character. With milk, it becomes rounder and more comforting without losing its clarity.
How to Brew Kirkoswald Dimbula Pekoe
Use freshly boiled water at 100°C and add one heaped teaspoon per cup. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
A 3-minute brew gives a brighter, brisker infusion. A 4-minute steep brings more body and depth, making it especially suitable for milk.
If drinking black, reduce the brewing time slightly to keep the cup clean and lively.

This is so much nicer than tea bags! Lovely flavour and fresh tasting.
I'm not normally a fan of Ceylon, but I keep coming back to this one.
