Dammann Frères Earl Grey Yin Zhen is a refined interpretation of one of the world’s best-loved flavoured black teas. The blend combines carefully selected black teas with Yin Zhen, also known as Silver Needle, one of China’s most prized white teas.

The addition of Yin Zhen silver tips gives the cup a natural softness and gentle sweetness, lifting this tea beyond a standard Earl Grey. It is fragrant, balanced and elegant, with enough character for everyday drinking and enough refinement for a more considered afternoon cup.

A Premium Earl Grey with Calabrian Bergamot

The bergamot used in this blend comes from Calabria in southern Italy, a region long associated with high-quality bergamot. Its essential oil gives Earl Grey its distinctive citrus aroma: bright, floral and refreshing without being sharp.

Here, the bergamot is applied with restraint, allowing the warmth of the black tea and the delicacy of the silver tips to remain present. Flower petals add a final touch of colour and elegance to the blend.

How to Brew Dammann Frères Earl Grey Yin Zhen

Use water just off the boil, ideally around 85°C to 90°C. This temperature respects the delicate white tea tips while still drawing flavour from the black tea base.

Place one Cristal sachet in your cup and steep for four to five minutes. A shorter infusion gives a lighter, more fragrant cup, while a full five minutes brings out more black tea warmth and body.
