Our Lavender Earl Grey loose leaf tea is a beautifully fragrant black tea blend of bright high-grown Ceylon, natural bergamot oil and deep blue lavender flowers. Floral, citrusy and elegantly balanced, it offers a coppery cup with classic Earl Grey lift and a soft lavender finish — a refined afternoon tea that feels familiar, yet just a little more special.
Lavender Earl Grey Loose Leaf Tea with Bergamot and Lavender Flowers
Lavender Earl Grey brings together three naturally complementary flavours: the lively brightness of Ceylon black tea, the floral citrus character of bergamot and the soft perfume of lavender.
The result is an Earl Grey with a gentler, more aromatic profile than the classic blend. It remains recognisably Earl Grey at heart, but the lavender adds a graceful floral depth that makes the cup feel smoother and more distinctive.
Bright Ceylon Black Tea with Floral Citrus Lift
High-grown Ceylon black tea gives this blend its clear, coppery liquor and refined structure. It is brisk enough to carry the flavourings well, yet light enough not to overpower them.
Natural bergamot oil brings the familiar Earl Grey citrus note, bright and gently perfumed. Lavender flowers round the blend beautifully, adding a fragrant floral finish that lingers without becoming heavy.
A Refined Floral Earl Grey for Afternoon Drinking
In the cup, this Lavender Earl Grey loose leaf tea is bright, aromatic and softly elegant. The bergamot arrives first, lifting the black tea with citrus freshness, before the lavender settles through the finish with a smooth, floral sweetness.
It is a particularly appealing choice for tea drinkers who already enjoy Earl Grey and would like a more fragrant, slightly more luxurious variation.

Lovely with Shortbread or a Light Pastry
This is a tea that suits the afternoon beautifully. Its floral-citrus profile pairs especially well with buttery biscuits, shortbread or a light pastry, making it a graceful choice for a slower tea break.
It is best served without milk, which allows both the bergamot and lavender to remain clear and balanced. A thin slice of lemon can be added if you enjoy a slightly brighter edge.
How to Brew Lavender Earl Grey Loose Leaf Tea
Use fresh water at around 95°C and add one heaped teaspoon per cup. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
A 3-minute brew gives a lighter, more floral cup. A 4-minute infusion develops a slightly brisker black tea character while keeping the lavender and bergamot in balance.
This blend also works very well cold-brewed. Steep in cold water for 6 to 8 hours in the fridge, then strain and serve over ice for a delicately floral iced Earl Grey.
Ingredients
Ceylon black tea, lavender flowers, natural oil of bergamot.

My absolute favourite tea, delivered very quickly
Lavender Earl Grey
I love Earl Grey and the smell of lavender, so Lavender Early Grey sounded like the perfect brew for me. Unfortunately, not so. Just like colors, mixing all your favorite flavours will not give you the perfect taste, instead some non-descript shade of gray or brown. In this case a non-descript Earl Grey. The failure in flavor may also be down to execution. The bergamot in this felt overpowering almost souring the taste. The lavender did not add the hoped for twist. The overall product was a brew I do not enjoy drinking that often.
