It also makes a superb iced tea. Brew it slightly stronger than usual, cool briefly, then pour over plenty of ice for a clean, citrus-led long drink with real black tea depth.

How to Brew Lemon Black Loose Leaf Tea

Use freshly boiled water at 100°C and add one heaped teaspoon per cup. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes.

Choose the shorter end for a lighter, brighter cup, or brew a little longer for extra black tea body. This tea is best served without milk, which can soften the lemon character.

For iced tea, brew double strength for around 4 minutes, then pour directly over a glass filled with ice.
