Our Loose leaf afternoon tea Buckingham Palace Garden Party is an elegant, multi-origin blend created for refined mid-afternoon drinking. Malty Assam, bright Ceylon, brisk Kenyan black tea and delicate Chinese green tea are softened with Bourbon vanilla, jasmine blossoms and cornflower petals, creating a beautifully balanced cup with floral lift, gentle sweetness and enough body to enjoy alongside a proper afternoon tea spread.
Loose Leaf Afternoon Tea Inspired by the Garden Party Tradition
Buckingham Palace Garden Party is a distinctive afternoon blend with a character that feels polished, layered and wonderfully inviting. It brings together black and green teas from several celebrated origins, creating a cup that is lighter than a breakfast tea but fuller and more complex than many delicate afternoon blends.
The result is a tea that feels made for the table: graceful enough to sip on its own, yet structured enough to pair beautifully with finger sandwiches, scones and cakes.
A Layered Blend of Assam, Ceylon, Kenyan and Green Tea
Assam provides a grounding malty warmth, while high-grown Ceylon tea adds brightness and elegance. Kenyan black tea contributes liveliness and body, and pan-fired Chinese green tea brings a softer, more delicate edge.
Together, these teas create a balanced foundation that allows the flavourings to shine without becoming overly perfumed or sweet.
Vanilla, Jasmine and Cornflower Petals
The blend unfolds gradually in the cup. Jasmine brings a floral top note, Bourbon vanilla adds rounded sweetness and warmth, and cornflower petals give the dry leaf a graceful visual finish.
These softer notes sit beautifully over the tea base, creating a cup that is gently aromatic, smooth and quietly memorable rather than bold or heavy.

Ideal for the Afternoon Table
This tea has been designed for the softer, more refined side of the day. Brewed lightly, the jasmine and vanilla become more prominent, giving a fragrant and elegant cup.
Brewed a little stronger, the Assam and Kenyan teas bring greater body, making it an excellent choice with a small splash of milk and a classic afternoon tea selection.
How to Brew Buckingham Palace Garden Party Tea
Use freshly boiled water allowed to cool briefly, ideally around 95°C. Add one teaspoon per cup and steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
A 3-minute brew keeps the floral and vanilla notes at the fore. A 4 to 5-minute infusion gives a fuller, maltier cup that takes milk particularly well.
This blend can also be served iced. Brew slightly stronger than usual, pour over ice and allow it to cool for a fragrant summer afternoon tea.
