🍵 The Blend — A vibrant loose leaf fruit infusion of sweet apple pieces, tart hibiscus, rosehip, and a generous mix of red berries, blended for colour, aroma, and full fruit flavour

🍵 The Colour — Pours a deep, jewel-bright ruby red with a sweet berry aroma that fills the room the moment hot water meets the leaves

🍵 The Character — Naturally sweet with a pleasantly tart edge, smooth-bodied and refreshing — a fruit infusion that is bold without being sharp

🍵 The Occasion — Equally rewarding served steaming hot on a winter evening or cold-brewed over ice on a summer afternoon; works beautifully as a base for light spritzers

Mixed red berry infusion is one of the most popular styles of loose leaf fruit tea in the UK, and it is easy to understand why. This is a blend that delivers on every front — vivid colour, generous fruit aroma, and a naturally sweet, rounded flavour that needs nothing added to it. The foundation is sweet apple, which gives the cup its smooth, approachable body, while hibiscus and rosehip bring a clean tartness and that deep, jewel-bright ruby colour that makes this infusion so immediately appealing.

Red berry blends like this one have a long tradition in European herbal and fruit infusion culture, drawing on ingredients that have been enjoyed for centuries. Rosehip, in particular, has been prized since at least the seventeenth century for its intense flavour and its extraordinarily high vitamin C content — though as always, we simply encourage you to enjoy it as part of a balanced daily routine. Hibiscus, used in hot and cold drinks across the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caribbean, brings a brilliant ruby hue and a gentle floral tartness that balances the natural sweetness of the apple and berries beautifully.

This is a naturally caffeine-free fruit infusion, which makes it a genuinely versatile choice — equally suitable as a warming cup in the evening or a refreshing cold brew on a summer afternoon. Brewed hot, the liquor is deep, rich, and fragrant. Cold-brewed overnight, it becomes lighter and crisper, with the berry notes coming forward more cleanly. It also makes an excellent base for a light, low-sugar spritzer when served over ice with sparkling water.

Since 2008, High Teas London has been sourcing and sharing exceptional teas and infusions from across the world. With one of the largest collections in the country — over 350 teas and infusions — our range spans everything from rare single-estate black teas to fruit infusions like this one, chosen for their quality, flavour, and character. This mixed red berry infusion is one of the blends our customers return to again and again.

Ingredients: Apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, rosehip, blackcurrant leaves, blackberry leaves, natural berry flavouring.

Brewing Note: Use fully boiling water at 100°C and allow the infusion to steep for 7 to 10 minutes — the longer steep gives a deeper colour and a fuller, more intensely fruity flavour. Use approximately one heaped teaspoon per cup and resist the urge to rush it; the hibiscus and rosehip need time to fully open and release their colour and tartness. This infusion requires no milk and no sugar, though a small drizzle of honey is a pleasant addition if you prefer a sweeter cup. For a cold brew, add one to two teaspoons to a litre of cold water and leave in the refrigerator overnight. The result is a bright, refreshing drink with a clean berry flavour that is excellent served over ice.

Use freshly boiled water (95–100°C) and steep 1 teaspoon of tea for 3–5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength. It pairs well with milk due to its malty character.
