Oolong Winter Dream is a layered, aromatic loose leaf oolong tea blended with a carefully chosen selection of spices and botanicals that give it a distinctly warming, seasonal character. At its heart is a smooth, semi-oxidised oolong — sitting naturally between the freshness of green tea and the depth of black — with liquorice root, star anise, cinnamon, rosehip seeds, sweet blackberry leaves, Roman camomile, and sunflower petals woven through to create something genuinely distinctive.

What makes this blend particularly appealing is how well the botanicals complement the oolong rather than competing with it. Liquorice root provides a natural, gentle sweetness that deepens as the cup cools. Star anise brings a warming, familiar spice note — comforting without being sharp — while cinnamon adds a soft, honeyed warmth in the background. Rosehip seeds contribute a subtle fruitiness and a gentle tartness that lifts the blend, and sweet blackberry leaves add a smooth, mellow body that rounds out the oolong's natural character beautifully.

Roman camomile introduces a quiet floral calm to the finish, and sunflower petals — as lovely to look at in the dry leaf as they are in the cup — add a delicate aromatic touch that completes the blend. Brewing Note: Oolong Winter Dream is best brewed with water at around 90°C — just off the boil — to protect the delicate character of the oolong base while giving the spices and botanicals room to fully develop. Use one heaped teaspoon per cup and steep for 4 to 6 minutes. The blend responds well to a slightly longer steep if you prefer a fuller, more warming cup, as the liquorice and star anise continue to open with time. For a second infusion — and this blend does give a pleasing second cup — simply add an extra minute or two to the steep.
