Our Organic Darjeeling Ambootia 1st Flush loose leaf tea is a refined SFTGFOP1 spring black tea from one of Darjeeling’s most admired organic estates. Pale gold in the cup, flowery and grassy in character, it offers bright Himalayan freshness, gentle lively tartness and a clean, elegant finish — a distinguished first flush tea best enjoyed slowly and without milk.
Organic Darjeeling Ambootia 1st Flush Loose Leaf Tea
Ambootia Estate is one of Darjeeling’s best-known organic tea gardens, with specialist retailers consistently presenting its spring teas as bright, elegant and floral in style. This first flush SFTGFOP1 selection captures the delicacy and freshness for which the estate is admired, while retaining enough body to feel deeply satisfying in the cup.
First flush Darjeeling is the tea world’s great spring arrival: the first tender new growth after winter dormancy, producing a lighter, more aromatic cup than later harvests.
Pale Gold Liquor with Floral, Grassy Freshness
In the cup, this Organic Darjeeling Ambootia 1st Flush loose leaf tea brews to a clear pale-golden infusion with bright clarity and a lifted spring aroma. The flavour is flowery and grassy, with a full but elegant body and a gentle, lively tartness that gives the tea real definition.
It is fresh rather than weighty, complex without being difficult, and especially rewarding when appreciated black.
SFTGFOP1 Organic Estate Tea from a Celebrated Darjeeling Garden
The SFTGFOP1 grade denotes an especially fine tippy orthodox leaf, chosen for quality, appearance and cup character. Comparable Ambootia first flush teas are widely presented as premium organic Darjeelings with a bright yellow-golden cup and floral-muscatel lift.
The organic provenance and estate identity give this tea particular appeal for customers seeking a first flush Darjeeling with both clarity of origin and high-grade presentation.

A Fine Spring Darjeeling for Quiet Drinking
This is a tea for slow mornings, thoughtful afternoons and anyone who values the distinctive freshness of first flush Darjeeling. Its elegance lies in the leaf itself, so milk and sugar are best left aside.
Served plain, the floral aroma, spring brightness and gently lively finish remain beautifully clear.
How to Brew Ambootia 1st Flush SFTGFOP1
Use water at around 85°C to 90°C and add one generous teaspoon per cup. Steep for 2 to 3 minutes to begin.
A shorter infusion gives a lighter, brighter and more floral cup. A fuller 4-minute brew can be tried if you prefer slightly more body, but it is best not to over-steep a tea of this delicacy.
Serve without milk to preserve the tea’s spring character and aromatic finesse.

An excellent first flush with typical muscatel taste and floral top-notes. Highly recommend as a quenchable lower caffeine tea. Thank you High Teas for stocking this fine tea.
I have not tried first flush Darjeeling tea before and am very pleased with the taste. I look forward to a pot full in the evening.
