Sikkim First Flush Loose Leaf Tea from Temi Estate
Temi Estate is one of India’s most distinctive Himalayan tea gardens, producing sought-after black teas from the terraced slopes of Sikkim. This first flush harvest captures the brightness and delicacy of early spring growth in a cup with real aromatic finesse.
The result is a tea that feels close in spirit to fine Darjeeling, yet carries a softer, rounder character of its own.
SFTGFOP1 Grade with Fine Spring Leaf
This tea is graded SFTGFOP1, a high classification reserved for carefully selected, finely made orthodox leaf with attractive golden tips.
The first flush harvest gives the tea its vivid freshness and floral lift. It is a lighter, more expressive style of black tea, chosen for drinkers who enjoy complexity, fragrance and a smooth, elegant finish rather than heavy strength.
Floral, Muscatel and Gently Honeyed
In the cup, this Sikkim first flush loose leaf tea brews to a clear amber liquor with a delicate golden hue. The aroma is floral and rounded, with a subtle spiced bouquet.
The flavour unfolds gracefully: muscatel notes, hints of honey and soft fruit sweetness, followed by a clean, lingering finish. It is smooth and lively, with enough depth to feel rewarding but never forceful.

Best Enjoyed Without Milk
This is a tea to drink plain, allowing its floral aroma, spring brightness and honeyed muscatel character to come through fully. Milk would soften the very qualities that make it special.
It is an excellent choice for a considered morning cup or a slower mid-afternoon tea when you want something refined, distinctive and quietly memorable.
How to Brew Temi Estate SFTGFOP1
Use water cooled slightly after boiling, ideally around 85°C to 90°C. Add one heaped teaspoon per cup and steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
Avoid over-steeping, as a longer brew can diminish the delicacy of the first flush character. This tea is best enjoyed without milk or sugar.
A second infusion is well worth trying, using a slightly longer steep to reveal a softer, more honeyed side of the leaf.
