🍵 The Gift — A considered, premium present for any serious tea lover, combining British heritage, Cornish craftsmanship, and a genuinely varied tasting experience in a single box
Few gifts speak as naturally of British identity as a beautifully curated tea collection — and few teas carry that identity as genuinely as those from Tregothnan. The Tregothnan estate in Cornwall has been in the hands of the Boscawen family, Viscounts Falmouth, since 1334. Its botanical garden, one of the most remarkable in the country, was home to the first outdoor camellias grown in Britain, around 1800. It was that centuries-long relationship with the camellia plant that led, in 1999, to something genuinely historic: the establishment of Britain's first commercial tea garden, growing Camellia sinensis — the tea plant — on English soil for the first time. The first Tregothnan tea was sold commercially in 2005, to Fortnum & Mason of Piccadilly.
This Christmas Trio brings together three of the estate's finest offerings in a single luxury gift box: the delicate, citrus-lifted Afternoon Tea, blending hand-plucked Cornish leaf with Darjeeling; the full-bodied Great British Tea, pairing Cornish leaf with bold Assam from India; and the vivid Red Berry Infusion, a naturally caffeine-free fruit tisane drawing on summer fruits and garden blooms. Together they represent the range and character of the Tregothnan approach — rooted in British landscape, crafted with care, and unmistakably distinguished in the cup.
The box contains 75 individually foil-wrapped sachets across the three blends, each sealed for freshness and presented in a way that makes this an ideal gift for Christmas, a tea lover's birthday, or any occasion that calls for something genuinely thoughtful.
Since 2008, High Teas London has been one of the country's leading independent tea specialists, with one of the largest collections available anywhere — over 350 teas and infusions from the world's finest gardens and estates. Tregothnan holds a particular place in that collection: there is simply nothing else quite like a tea grown on British soil.

Brewing Note: Each of the three teas in this trio has its own ideal brewing method. The Afternoon Tea is best brewed with freshly boiled water and steeped for 3 to 4 minutes to preserve its delicate citrus and floral notes. The Great British Tea is a bolder brew and benefits from a full boiling temperature and 3 to 5 minutes of steeping — it takes milk beautifully if that is your preference. The Red Berry Infusion should be brewed with fully boiling water and allowed a longer steep of 5 to 8 minutes to draw out the full depth of colour and berry flavour; it is delicious hot or left to cool and served over ice.
