Our Vanilla chai loose leaf tea Bourbon Vanilla Chai is a rich, warming black tea blend with ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper and smooth bourbon vanilla. Boldly spiced yet beautifully rounded, it brews into a deeply aromatic cup that is especially rewarding with milk — creamy, comforting and full of the flavour a proper chai should deliver.
Vanilla Chai Loose Leaf Tea with Bourbon Vanilla and Warming Spices
Bourbon Vanilla Chai is a fuller, softer take on classic spiced black tea. It combines the strength of a robust black tea base with fragrant chai spices and a mellow vanilla finish that brings balance to every sip.
The result is rich and satisfying without becoming harsh. Ginger and cardamom lead with warmth and lift, cinnamon and cloves add depth, black pepper gives a gentle edge, and bourbon vanilla ties everything together with a smooth, creamy sweetness.
Bold Chai Spice, Softened by Real Vanilla Character
This is a chai blend built for flavour. The spices are generous and aromatic, giving the tea real presence from the first pour.
What makes it especially appealing is the vanilla. Rather than overwhelming the blend, it rounds the sharper spice notes and gives the cup a softer, more indulgent finish. It is an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys traditional masala chai but prefers a smoother, creamier style.
Made for Milk and Chai Latte Brewing
Bourbon Vanilla Chai is particularly good with milk. Brew it strong, then add hot milk for a creamy, warming cup with plenty of body and a beautifully fragrant finish.
It also works well as a more concentrated chai latte-style drink. Prepared this way, the vanilla becomes fuller, the spices feel richer and the black tea base keeps everything grounded and satisfying.

A Comforting Everyday Chai with Extra Depth
This vanilla chai loose leaf tea is made for moments when you want something more rewarding than a standard black tea. It is bold enough to satisfy, but the vanilla gives it a gentler, more comforting finish.
Drink it in the morning when you want warmth and richness, or later in the day as a cosy spiced cup with a little sweetness if preferred.
How to Brew Bourbon Vanilla Chai Loose Leaf Tea
Use freshly boiled water at 100°C and add one heaped teaspoon per cup. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes.
For a softer cup, brew for around 3 to 4 minutes. For a fuller, more spice-forward result, allow the full 5 minutes.
To make a chai latte, brew the tea at double strength using half the normal amount of water, then top with hot milk. Whole milk gives a particularly creamy result, while oat milk also works beautifully. A little sugar or honey can be added to bring out the vanilla notes.
Ingredients
Black tea, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, bourbon vanilla.

This isn't a robust full spiced chai but a much lighter tea with the warmth of ginger but some aromatic and sweeter notes too.
There's no strong tannin bitterness but a rounded full flavour without being overpowering.
I used two teaspoons of tea, a cup of water, a splash of milk and a little sugar and gently simmered it for 5 minutes or so.
Delicious!
I have a chai blend from Fortnum and Mason which I really like and I LOVE vanilla, so I was really excited to try this vanilla blend. Other teas I have had from High Teas have been absolutely amazing.
There is nothing wrong with the product, it's just that I'm not that keen on it! Fortunately, I have other High Teas products which I love.
