A top quality robust blend of Spring Kenyan teas with 2nd Flush Assams create a luxury "Irish Breakfast Tea" Taste the difference! In order to provide the Irish with blends this strong, tea blenders supplying the market buy up top quality seasonal output from Assam and Kenya. The Assam teas are picked from the top production of the Second Flush (a period of high growth in the month of June) The Kenyan teas selected are usually those produced in either February or August when the most flavourful seasonal quality leaf is grown. The Assam component of this Irish blend gives the cup a strong, deep malty character with heavy layers of astringency that dry the mouth, feeling almost as if you could chew the tea. (This is similar to the way a very dry wine can make you pucker.) The Kenyan teas provide a bright coppery colour with profound floral notes that add a complex depth to the cup.
Please note: In order to become more environmentally-friendly we no longer add large coloured labels to our tea packets. Simply peel off the small name label from the back of your packet to make it totally biodegradable! Gift tubes are as shown.

My favourite strong early-breakfast tea. Lovely flavour in a strong tea. Black, 2 ½ - 3 min’s, no more. A cup or two of this will wake you up and ready for the day ahead!
I love this tea. Since becoming ill it's one of the only teas I can tolerate, so smooth.
We’ve been drinking it for years
Exceptional breakfast tea.
Unique flavour
Essential!
Bronze in colour, no taste or aroma. I found it very bland. Not one for me.
