East Cape Organic Honeybush is a beautifully smooth herbal infusion from South Africa, naturally caffeine free and loved for its sweet, honey-like aroma. A close cousin of Rooibos, Honeybush offers a slightly sweeter taste with a clean, fresh finish, making it a wonderful choice for anyone seeking a gentle and comforting cup at any time of day.

Native to the Cape region of South Africa, Honeybush has a long history of traditional use stretching back centuries. Botanical records from the region mention its enjoyment as far back as the seventeenth century, and it later became known more widely as a pleasing caffeine free tea alternative. Traditionally gathered by hand from wild bushes growing in the mountainous landscape, Honeybush remains closely tied to its place of origin and to the careful harvesting methods that helped shape its reputation.

This organic loose leaf Honeybush is ideal for quiet evening drinking, soothing afternoon breaks or anyone looking for a naturally caffeine free herbal tea with warmth and softness in the cup. The ingredients in this infusion are simply organic Honeybush, with nothing added, allowing its natural sweetness and clean character to shine through. For those looking for Honeybush tea, organic herbal tea, South African tea or a caffeine free alternative to black tea and Rooibos, East Cape Organic Honeybush offers sweetness, comfort and easy drinkability in every cup.

Superb

Marvellous brew. Tempting floral aroma, delicious lingering aftertaste of bramble jelly. And it’s caffeine-free for a bonus!

Good Fresh Tea

Loving getting back to loose leaf tea (as opposed to teabags) and in particular Honeybush tea which I've not had since leaving South Africa in '96. This honeybush tea has a slightly different flavour to what I've been used to, but is still refreshing and very enjoyable. Will definitely order again

A very special rooibos

A distinctive elegant tea. With a slightly refreshing aftertaste.
As I am not allowed to drink too much of my favorite black teas, especially Assam and Nilgiri this East Cape organic Honeybush is a very tastefull alternative.

Use freshly boiled water (95–100°C) and steep 1 teaspoon of tea for 3–5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength. It pairs well with milk due to its malty character.
