A classic Taiwanese Oolong leaf tea with lots of depth. The semi-oxidised leaves exude beautiful woody & fruity flavours. The Poppy in the name refers to the tea's fine grade rather than its flavour. The best Oolongs come from Taiwan (Formosa) where the character of short-fired oolongs has been described as peach like with a refreshing fruity herbaceous character whereas long-fired oolongs take on bakey notes with rich amber liquids. This tea falls into the latter category. It is worth noting that in Taiwan the making of oolong tea is regarded as a precious art that requires years of training. A lovely distinctive taste.
Please note: In order to become more environmentally-friendly we no longer add large coloured labels to our tea packets. Simply peel off the small name label from the back of your packet to make it totally biodegradable! Gift tubes are as shown.
