A fine green tea in which each leaf has been rolled into a small round pellet.
Rolling the tea renders it less susceptible to physical damage and allows the tea to retain more of the flavour and aroma. This is a particularly fine example. This is a superior and finer version of Gunpowder known as Zucha or Pearl Tea. The tea is dried in rolling drums and the constant rotation gives the tea its spherical form. It has a greenish dry golden liquor much appreciated throughout the Middle East with a light smoke and nutty character.
