Ayurvedic Pitta tea is among the most thoughtfully constructed herbal infusions in the wellness tea tradition — an organic, naturally caffeine-free blend designed according to the ancient principles of Ayurveda to offer cooling, soothing balance to the body and mind. In Ayurvedic teaching, Pitta is the dosha governed by the elements of fire and water: the energy of transformation, metabolism, and focus. When in harmony, it brings clarity and drive; when unsettled, heat, restlessness, and tension can follow. For thousands of years, Ayurvedic herbalists have turned to cooling, sweet-natured botanicals to restore that equilibrium — and this carefully sourced organic blend draws directly on that tradition.

Liquorice root and fennel form the heart of the infusion, lending a gentle, natural sweetness and a soft, rounded body that defines the character of the cup from the first sip. Ingredients: Liquorice root, fennel, ginger, camomile, peppermint, cardamom, cinnamon, aniseed (all from organic cultivation). Contains liquorice root — excessive consumption should be avoided by those with high blood pressure.

Brewing Note: This blend brews best with freshly boiled water at 100°C — the full temperature draws out the natural sweetness of the liquorice root and fennel and fully releases the cooling oils from the peppermint. Use one generously heaped teaspoon per cup and steep, covered if possible, for between five and ten minutes. A shorter steep gives a lighter, more delicate cup with peppermint and camomile to the fore; a longer infusion brings deeper sweetness, richer spice, and a more rounded liquorice character. This blend also makes a particularly refreshing cold brew — place a good measure of the blend in cold water and refrigerate overnight for a smooth, naturally sweet iced herbal infusion.
