🍵 The Botanicals — Six organically grown warming spices and herbs — ginger, turmeric, eucalyptus, cardamom, black pepper, and cloves — blended in the tradition of Ayurvedic Kapha practice

🍵 The Colour — A deep, burnished amber infusion with a rich, spiced aroma that rises from the cup the moment boiling water meets the leaves

🍵 The Character — Bold and intensely aromatic, with earthy turmeric at the centre, bright ginger heat building steadily, and a clean eucalyptus note cutting through the spice

🍵 The Occasion — Naturally caffeine free and built for mornings or sluggish afternoons — a revitalising Ayurvedic herbal infusion that offers genuine energy and focus without caffeine

Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of wellness that dates back nearly five thousand years, describes the human constitution in terms of three doshas — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Kapha, rooted in the elements of earth and water, governs structure, stability, and endurance. When it is in balance, the mind is calm and the body full of natural energy. When Kapha tips out of balance, heaviness, lethargy, and a lack of motivation can follow. This Ayurvedic Kapha herbal tea addresses that imbalance head-on, drawing on a tradition of warming, stimulating botanicals used for thousands of years precisely because of their pungent, invigorating qualities.

The blend is built around just six ingredients — but each one earns its place. Turmeric root, ground to slices rather than powder, anchors the cup with its earthy, distinctively golden warmth. Ginger adds its familiar bright heat and lift. Whole cloves and whole black pepper bring depth and an intense, aromatic spice. Cardamom lends fragrance and a touch of sweetness to temper the boldness. And eucalyptus leaves — an unusual and striking addition — contribute a clean, cooling note that opens the senses and clarifies the palate. Every ingredient is from certified organic cultivation, with no flavourings, no additives, and nothing artificial anywhere in the blend.

The result is a herbal infusion that is uncompromisingly bold. This is not a quiet or subtle cup — it is vivid, deeply aromatic, and alive from the first sip. Many people find it a genuinely invigorating alternative to a morning coffee, offering warmth and focus without any caffeine at all.

High Teas London was founded in 2008 with a simple aim: to bring genuinely exceptional tea to as many cups as possible. With one of the largest collections in the country — over 350 teas and infusions — we are proud to include blends like this one, where centuries of herbal tradition and rigorous organic sourcing come together in a single, remarkable cup.

Ingredients: Ginger bits, eucalyptus leaves, turmeric slices, cardamom (whole), whole black pepper, whole cloves. All ingredients from certified organic cultivation.

Brewing Note: Brew this infusion with fully boiling water — 100°C — and give it time to develop. Steep for a minimum of 7 minutes, and up to 10 if you prefer a deeper, more intense result. The spices need the heat and the time to open properly; a shorter steep will leave the eucalyptus and clove slightly muted. No milk is needed or recommended — this is a cup best taken as it comes, perhaps with a small spoonful of honey if you want to bring a little sweetness forward. The blend also makes a very good cold brew: steep for 6 to 8 hours in cold water in the fridge, strain, and serve over ice for a surprisingly refreshing and aromatic iced infusion.

Use freshly boiled water (95–100°C) and steep 1 teaspoon of tea for 3–5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength. It pairs well with milk due to its malty character.
